Star Atlas is a virtual gaming play-to-earn metaverse based in the year 2620. In this distant future, three major factions have emerged; The MUD Territory governed by humankind, The ONI Region as a consortium of alien races, and The Ustur Sector controlled by sentient androids. These factions are in an ongoing struggle for resources, territorial conquest, and political domination. You, a faction citizen of Star Atlas, will have the ability to influence the outcome of this intergalactic conflict while creating the opportunity to earn rewards for your contributions.
Discovery of Iris (poster nº1)
The rogue planet, Iris, dense with invaluable materials, draws in and collides with seven child planets in a remote region of space, creating what is henceforth referred to as "The Cataclysm". When combined, these eight elements create a form of free energy. The collision creates a massively valuable debris field.
The Heart of Star Atlas (poster nº2)
At the core of Star Atlas lies a treasure trove of priceless data. After an unsuspecting deep space explorer discovers "The Cataclysm", he scans its riches, creating what will once be known as the first intergalactic data block. He sells this invaluable information to all three rival factions, igniting a lethal spark that forever changes the course of history.
The Convergence War (poster nº3)
All three factions, thinking they were the sole owners of the cataclysmic data drop, converge to settle the area. A devastating war breaks out across the galaxy after their inability to settle the disputed territory.
There are up to fourteen posters on the Star Atlas website that expand the story that I show you here to put you in context, where I expose the first three.

Manus Ultimus Divinum, The Last Divine Hand, a spacefaring faction of humans originating from their home planet of Earth. After uniting under a common cause inspired by a benevolent photoli scout, humans harnessed Earth’s resources to set off for the stars.
Under the contemporary leadership of Charon Gotti Jr., MUD Territory is established as the only legitimate human faction in the Council of Peace. Despite the dramatic losses in the Convergence War decades prior, MUD emerged as an industrial powerhouse in the region by securing diplomatic relations through fair trade with ONI and Ustur.
MUD controlled space provides proximity to raw materials that serve a core purpose in the component manufacturing process for distant astronautical travel and ballistics technology. Join MUD to ensure the perpetual fair and powerful leadership of humankind.
Human
Talking about the Mud as a race is like talking about the faction in general, since to this day no other races are known within them. It all started with the visit of Ahr, a Photoli who traveled to planet Earth to convince them to abandon it through deception. Those who followed him exploited the planet's resources in order to build what was necessary to travel through the stars until they totally destroyed it. The Mud were left on the brink of extinction and still look human but enhanced.

The ONI faction is a harmonious consortium of diverse species. The people of the Om sector, Segal, Akenat, and Neuno systems collectively set aside their differences in the hopes of a more bountiful life in space.
After the near total wartime extinction of the Sogmian race, the Mierese, Punaab and Photoli united firmly together under a strategic military pact to save their desperate ally. Through this pact, a breakthrough weapon of war was constructed. Before retaliation took hold to destroy the region’s life force, a truce was soon declared for the betterment of all factions and peace settled throughout.
The benefits of joining the ONI Region lie primarily in access to densely clustered raw materials within their controlled space. These materials are highly coveted in the crafting of advanced stealth and radar technologies lending to the discovery of even greater breakthroughs for all sentient life.
Sogmian
The Sogmians are one of the four races of the alien consortium known as ONI. They are famous for the story of Bekalu and Paizul, whose love was cut short by the murder of the leader. Numbering some ten thousand individuals, the race was on the verge of extinction during the Convergence War, until in order to achieve survival they created a titanic war machine, Busan "The Last Stand", which terrified the universe and spelled the end of it. from the war. They are tall and stout.
Punaab
These little beings are as rich as they are mysterious. They are in charge of the manufacturer Ogrika, which bases its manufacture using gold as a material. Little is known about them, although one remarkable aspect of them is their loyalty. If you get the trust of a Punaab they will be your friend forever, but don't let them down or they will be your worst enemy. They are short and hairy.
Photoli
The Photoli are a race of "light" who take different forms. Although they belong to the ONI consortium, they do not usually get involved in political aspects and even having an alliance with the rest of the ONI races, they usually go free. The best known was Ahr, the one who visited planet Earth to teach the MUDs the "benefits" of exploring the stars. They are quite large and stout, being able to light up from different parts of their body.
Mierese
Coming from the Neuno solar system, they describe themselves as free beings, experts in stealth and survival. They tend to improvise their acts, which is why they tend to create misunderstandings with the Ustur. They are seen as cowards by the Sogmians, since they will not put their lives above anyone else. They are less stocky and shorter than the Sogmians, but taller than the Mud and similar in build.

Ustur cybernetic sentient beings have an origin shrouded in complex mystery. One legend tells of a Dyson sphere-powered supercomputer harnessing the energy of a magnetar class neutron star. The energy throughput allowed the installed AI to advance beyond its physical location and withdrew from the parent machine without a trace.
A millennium later, the Ustur appeared in a physicalized form through advanced softform robotics. However, none of them are able to recall their origin. But it is thought that their individual bodies contain a sliver of the original parent AI in pursuit of transcendent awakening and experiencing the universe through an organic medium.
Become a part of the Ustur Sector to also form your own path in this physical universe and ascend the ranks of every observable spiritual plane. Receive access to rare minerals vital in the formation of highly nimble thruster tech and top tier hull reinforcing pipelines.
Robot
Think of this race as if they were robots (which they are) but with feelings and sensitivity. They base their origin on an Artificial Intelligence that began to question its existence, and from it the first units produced with different shapes arose. It is said that in each Ustur unit there is a part of that AI. Each one has their own unique personality, expressing a taste for fashion that makes them dress in clothes they find in the places they visit.

What is known about them is that they are around the Cataclysm, in the high-risk zone. They are metagenic beings and possess mysterious technology that combines elements from all factions and even exotic materia used by the Photoli race. The ships they produce camouflage themselves as asteroids, being dangerous in ambushes.
Tufa
The Tufa beings are a unique combination of conscious living organisms residing within the depths of the StarAtlas High-Risk Zone, which is situated in close proximity to the epicenter of the Cataclysm and Iris phenomenon.
ECOS
It's a terrorist faction and although they signed in favor at the Peace Council Assembly they are considered heretics. They have long been very influential in the worlds of MUDs. They are manufacturers of Fimbul ECOS and you will need to earn loyalty with them in order to be eligible to earn components for their ships.
Jorvik
The pirate faction from all over Galia, led by the Pirate King. They were left out of the assembly, in fact they were expelled, and they roam the galaxy according to their interests. It is a multiracial faction, so you will come across all kinds of individuals in it. You will have to do missions with them as a good pirate to access the components of the Fimbul BYOS manufacturer.
